Make editing and processing your photos an enjoyable experience! This hands-on course provides an in-depth introduction to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

Lightroom, a digital image editing software, is a powerful tool for organizing and managing a digital photography catalog. Learn how to import, organize and manage photos, how to easily edit, correct, enhance large image collections and how to quickly publish for web, social media and print.

Who should attend:
Photographers or photography enthusiasts, beginner or experienced, looking for better organization of their digital images, a streamlined workflow and quicker output of completed photographs.

What you will learn

  • Concepts of a photo “catalog” and of “non-destructive” editing
  • The Lightroom workspace
  • Importing images: creating and managing the library
  • Editing, correcting, enhancing images and basic retouching
  • File output: what to consider when exporting images for web and print
  • Presets and Plugins for quick edits or to automate export tasks
  • Publishing and sharing images directly from Lightroom

What to bring

This class presumes that you have Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC (not Lightroom CC) installed on your own laptop computer, which you will bring to the class. You can purchase the Creative Cloud “Photography Plan” from the Adobe website for $9.99/month USD, which allows you to install both Lightroom and Photoshop. The software is also available as a trial version. Questions on how to purchase or install? Contact info@thomasbockcreative.com for help.

If you have “RAW” image files, please bring them on a USB key or bring your digital camera and a USB cable. This would be a good opportunity to work on your own image files.

Instructor: Thomas Bock is a fine art and urban photographer as well as a freelance web design consultant. His work has been exhibited locally in Montréal.
